That the City Clerk shall receive a salary of twenty-five
dollars per month, payable monthly, which salary shall be full compen-
sation for all services of every character required of him.
That the City Recorder shall receive the sum of two & 50/100
dollars, in each and every ease, filed in the Corporation Court, where
the court costs provided by law have been assessed and collected and
paid in the City Treasury, and that the said sums so paid by the City
to the City Recorder shall be full compensation for all services per-
formed by said City Recorder as such*
That the fact that there should be made the adjustments in the
compensation of the City Secretary and the City Recorder, above set out
creates an emergency, requiring that this ordinance at once passed it is
ordered that the rules requiring ordinances to be read at their separate
meetings before final passage be suspended; and that said rules here and
non► suspended and this ordinance is finally passed, and it is ordered
that it take effect from and after its passage.

Company, its successors and assigns, are here more specifically
