HomeMy WebLinkAbout0046_4545 acquired by the Georgetown Independent School District for Public School Purposes= and WHEREAS said Subdivision has never been developed and none of the streets and alleys shown on said plat have ever been used or opened as such and there is no necessity that the same be opened; and WHEREAS no person has the legal right to demand that any of said streets or alleys be opened, or to object to their being abandoned by the City of Georgetown as public streets or alleys; and WHEREAS it is to the public interest that said streets and alleys be abandoned and that all of the right, title and interest of said City therein be sold to the Georgetawn Independent School Districts NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown that all of the streets and alleys in said F. J. Perrin Sub- division, to -grits Fern Street, Magnolia Street, Jubilee Street, and the alley bounded by lots 50 6, 7, 8 and 9 on the North and lots 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 on the South, be and they are hereby abandoned and closed as Public Streets and alleys. It is further resoleved that all of the right, title and interest of the City of Georgetown in and to said Streets and alleys be sold to the George- town Independent School District for the sum of $5.00, and the Mayor of said City is authorized and directed to convey such interest to the Georgetown Independent School District by a quit claim deed, the same to be attested by the City Secretary.
