and that each Section, and each portion thereof, not decreed to be invalid,
shall remain •slid and enforceable.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances that are in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
That the fact that prompt action should be taken in the regulation
of traffic, on the streets of this City, in the manner provided for in this
ordinance, creates an emergency requiring that the rules that provide that
an ordinance shall be read at three separate meetings of the City Council
before final passage; �)e suspended, and that the said rules are hereby
suspended, and this ordinance is here and now passed, and that it is
ordered that it take effect from and after its passage and publication.

AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETERMINING RATES AND
CHARGES TO BE CHARGED FOR SALES OF NATURAL GAS
TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH SUCH
RATES AND CHARGES MAY BE CHANGED AND AMENDED AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN:
Section 1. Effective with the first gas furnished on and after
January lot, 1953, the rates and charges for sales of natural gas and
natural gas service rendered to residential and commeroial oonsumers
within the city limits of Georgetown by Lone Star Gas Company, a Texas
Corporation, its successors and assigns, are hereby fixed and deter-
mined to be as followas
Minimum Monthly Bill $1.00
First 600 ous ft. at $.17 per c.o.f. gross; $9153 per o.c.f. note
All over 600 ou, ft. at $.7833 per m.o.f. gross; $•705 per m.o.f. net.
