AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO THE SOUTWESTERN STATES TELEPHONE COMPANY,
A CORPORATION, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, THE RIGHT, PRIVILEGE,
AND PERMIT TO ESTABLISH MONTHLY RATES FOR LOCAL TELEPHONE SERVICE
IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1, That the right, privilege, and permit are granted to THIS
SOUTHWESTERN STATES TELEPHONE COMPANY to put into of foot without objection
on the part of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, the
following schedule of rates:
Section 2• The above rates shall be effective the first billing
date of THE SOUTHWESTERN STATES TELEPHONE COMPANY after date of this
ordinance; and it shall install and place in service a Dial System prior
to December 26, 1954. (NOTE: In the event the Company has not made
progress satisfactory to the City Council of the City of Georgetown toward
converting to Dial System, or has not satisfactorily evidenced its
intentions to do so by the date shown above, the Company shall reduce
rates to those in effect as of June 10^1953.)
Section 3. The schedule of rates outlined in Section 1 shall be
superseded the first billing date of TRE SOUTHWESTERN STATES TELEPHONE
COMPANY upon its completion and placing into service the Dial System
outlined in Section 2 as follows:

Section 4. No charge shall be made to the subscribers of THE
SOUTIMESTE N STATES TELEPHONE COMPANY for change in type of equipment
installed for use with the new system.
