'<ESTEAS, all of the provisions of Art. X74, of the Revised Civil Statutes:
of Texas, which prescribed the mode wherebrr territory may be annexed to and in-
corporated into a City of the Class of this City, has been f>>lly complied with; in
that a retition in writing , and addressed to the City Council of this City, and
asking that the herein described territory, be tal-en into and be made a part of the
said City, was presented to and circulated among the persons who reside within the
said territory, herein after described, for their si r-nat»res thereto a.nd action

the said places for the said signatures -beim' indicated by the words, "FOR AP11EXATION"
and "._Ar*A?NST kJT,1EXATIO1T,11 respectively. That the body of the Said petition clearly. set
out the purposes thereof, together rrith'a description of,the territory sou -ht to be an-,
nexed. That all persons residing within the herein after described territory, who were
under the law qualified to vote for members of -the State Legislature,.were given an
opportunity to sign and each had the rimht to sign, under the column "FOR AI'r1EYD&TION"
or under the column, "AGAINST A 2TEXATION, as he or she desired; and that in the manner
above indicated, an election was held and the said qualified voters, by siring their
ns -ries in the column, that they desired, did, in accords -nee with the separate wish of
each voter cast his or her vote, either for or against, the said proposition of
annexation. That the said petition, so siCned by the qualified voters of the said
terri.tory, sought to be annexed, supported by the affidavit of three of the signers,
thereto, wherein the said affiants, state that they each reside i.n the said territory,
and that facts set ot?t in said petition, and pertaining thereto are true and that
more t!^.an a majority of the said qualified voters,residin in the said territory, did
in the manner aforesaid vote for the said annexation, was filed with the P^llyor of the
City of Georgetcmm, Texas. and was by him prosented to the �itv Council of said City for
its consideration, and:
VFTEREAS, the City Council of the said City, having examined the said petition#
to^ether with the accaQnpaning affidavits, find that the territory covered by the said
petition and that is sought to be annexed thereunder, all is located adjacent to and
to the north of the present corporate limits of said City, and that it is all within
one-half mile of the said corporate limits of the said City; and further finds that all
natters pertaining to the said petition for annexation, are true and that more than a
majority of the persons, who are under the law gralified to vote for the annexation of
said territory, described in and covered by said petition, did in the manner above set
out vote for the said annexation, and further finds that it is to the best interests of
the persons residin,- in the territory sou -ht to be annexed, and the best interest of
this City that the territory so sourrt to be annexed, and that is herein after fully
described, should be incorporated into and become a part of this City, and that the
persons residing in said territory, be made citizens of this City, as prayed for by therm§

That the afore mentioned petition, be and the same is in all thins
accepted, and tha t the said territory tor -ether with the persons residing therein
are received into and made a part of the said City, with all of the ri-hts, and
liabilities, pertaining thereto. That the said territory covered by the said pe-
tition for annexation, and that is horeby annexed to and made a part of the said
City, is described as follows;
Said area or tract is more particularly described by meters and bounds as
follows, to wit:
Beginning at a concrete monument found on the centerline of the South jan
Gabriel River at its intersection with the extended East right of way line of Rock
Street in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, said centerline of the
river being the present City Limit of the City of GeorCetaan:
