FIXING THE SALARY OF EACH ALDERMAN THAT IS TO
BE ELECTED AT THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION IN AND
FOR THE SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
That each alderman, to be elected at said general
election, shall receive a salary of ten ( $10.00 ) Dollars per month,
paid monthly, during the term for which he is elected.
That the fact that it is necessary to fix the salaries
of the said officers prior to the date of the said election creates an
emergency making it necessary that the rules requiring that an ordinance
be read at three separate meetings prior to its passage, be suspended,
and that the rules are hereby suspended, and this ordinance is at once
passed, and that it take effect from and after its passage.
