AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
FIXING THE SALARY OF EACH ALDERMAN LZ MAYOR
THAT IS TO BE ELECTED AT THE NEXT GENERAL
ELECTION IN AND FOR THE SAID CITY AND DECLAR—
ING AN EMERGENCY,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
".`That each alderman, to be elected at said general
election, shall receive a salary of ten ($10.00 ) Dollars per month,
paid monthly, Mayor to be elected to receive $40.00 per month during
the term for which he is elected.
That the fact that it is necessary to fix the
salaries of the said officers prior to the date of the said election
creates an emergency making it necessary that the rules requiring that
an ordinance be read at three separate meetings prior to its passage,
be suspended, and that the said rules are hereby suspended, and this
ordinance is at once passed, and that it take effect from and after
its passage.
