HomeMy WebLinkAbout0139_137137 all of said property which may be erected thereon by said Georgetown Independent School District shall become the property of Lessor, subject to the right of use, possession, control and management of said Georgetown Independent School District during the term of this lease, and any exten- sion or renewal thereof. SIXTHS For the purposes set forth above, Lessee Mutual Lumber Company shall have the right to sublease said premises and the athletic stadium and facilities during the period it is to have possession of said premises under this contract without obtaining any type of consent from Lessor. After the term of Lessee Georgetown Independent School District commences as set forth above, said Georgetown Independent School District shall not transfer or assign this lease nor sublease the above described premises without first obtaining the written consent of Lessor. STVENTHs That Lessees during their respective terms under this lease shall keep the premises and all structures which may be erected thereon in a annitary condition and in a good state of repair. Lessor shall not be re- sponsible or liable to Lessees, or to any other person whatsoever, for any injury, loss or damage to any person or property which may result during the erection and construction of said athletic stadium or which may result during the term of this lease, and Lessees hereby covenant and agree to save Lessor harmless therefrom in so far as they may legally do so. EIGHTHS Lessor specifically reserves its general police power and authority as a munioipal corporation to police and supervise the use of said property and all activities which may be held or conducted thereon. NINTH: It is further mutually understood and agreed by all the parties hereto that the failure of said Mutual Lumber Company to erect and to construct the aforementioned athletic stadium within the time hereinabove specified shall forthwith terminate this entire lease agreement and cause the same to be null and void and of no further force and effect. If Lessees, or either of them, after the erection and construction of the above mentioned athletic stadium, cease to use the above described premises for the purposes set forth above, then this lease shall terminate, and the full title and pos- session of the property covered by same shall revert to and vest in Lessor. TENTHS At the termination of the aggregate term of twenty-five years herein granted to Mutual Lumber Corgpany and Georgetown Independent School District, Lessees, all as hereinabove set forth, Lessee, Georgbtown
