FIXING THE SALLRY OF EACH ALDERMAN TH1T IS TO
BE ELECTED AT THE NEXT GMi-rRAL ELECTION IN AND
FOR THE SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN TWERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN't TEXAS.
That each alderman, to be elected at said general election,
shall receive a salary of ten(i10.00) Dollars per month, paid
monthly, during the term for which he is elected.
That the fact that it is necessary to fix the salaries
of the said officers prior to the date of the said election creates
emergency making it necessary that the rules requiring that an
ordinance be read at three separate meetings prior to its passage
be suspended, and that the said rules are hereby suspended , and
this ordinance is at once passed, and that it take effect from and
after its passage.
