RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AUTHOR-
IZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER
A CORRECTION DEED TO FANNIE HARRIS TO
THAT PORTION OF THE AIRPORT TRACT OF
LAND LYING ON THE EAST SIDE OFT HE OLD
GEORGETOWN- FLORENCE ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas here-
tofore by resolution adopted on the 8th day of July, 1946, approved the
sale of that portion of the Airport tract of land lying on the east side
of the old Georgetown -Florence Road, to Sam Harris, Sr. for a consideration
of #30,00 per acre; and
WHEREAS, said City of Georgetown acting by and through G. C. Hester,
the Mayor of said City, did execute and eliver a warranty deed to a certain
tract of land out of the David Wright League in Williamson County, Texas,
described as containing 120.5 acres of land, which said deed is dated October
14, 1946, and is recorded in Vol. 339, page 437, Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the said Sam Harris, Sr. is now deceased and under the terms
of his will duly probated in the County Court of Williamson County, Texas,
the said Sam Harris, Sr. devised all his property to his widow, Fannie Harris;
and ,
WHEREAS, in the above described conveyance by said City of Georgetown,
Texas, to said Sam Harris, Sr., by mistake and the last course and distance
call was omitted from said deed= and
WHEREAS, to prevent difficulties hereafter, it is expedient to correct
said error and it is necessary that a correction deed be executed by said
City of Georgetown, Texas,.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, that the Mayor of this city is hereby directed to execute and deliver
to Fannie Harris a correction deed conveying to her the hereinafter described
property, to -wits
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in
Williamson County,Texas, being out of and a part of the vavid Vrright League
Survey, Abet. No. 13, and being all of that portion of the Airport of the
said City of Georgetown, remaining unsold that lies on the East side of the
Old Georgetown-Florenoe Public Road, and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows
