AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGET01rN, TEXAS
FIXING THE COMPENSATION THAT SHALL HMFJJ,7ER BE
PAID TO THE CITY ATTORNEY A14D TO THE CITY RECORDFR
FOR THEIR SERVICES, REPELLING Si;CTION 8 AND 9 OF
CHAPTER .XIX OF THE COLLECTIVE ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, RELATING TO FEES = AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, T EXASs
That the Attorney for the City shall hereafter receive
as a retainer fee for his services, the sum of $100.00 per month, to be
paid monthly during the term for which he is appointed.
That the City Recorder for said City shall receive a
salary of $75.00 per month, to be paid monthly during the term for which
he is appointed.
That Section 8 of Cpapter XIX of the Collective Ordinances
of.the City of Georgetown, Texas, entitled Attorney for the City and re-
lating to certain fees to be paid to said Attorney, be and the same is
hereby repealed.
That Section 9 of Chapter XIX of the Collective Ordinances
of the City of Georgetown, Texas, entitled City Recorder and relating to
certain fees to be paid to said City Recorder, be and the same is hereby
repealed.
That the fact theft there should be a definite compensation
fixed for the City Attorney and the City Recorder, above set out creates
an emergency, requiring that this ordinance be at once passed, it is ordered
that the rules requiring ordinances to be read at their separate meetings before
final passage be suspended; and theft said rules here and now are suspended
and this ordinance is finally passed, and it is ordered that it take effect
from and after its passage.
