BY TFE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGET011M, TEXASs SECTION 1s There is hereby granted by the City of Georgetown, Toxas, (hereinafter called City) to National Utilities and Cable Corporation (here- inafter called Grantee), and its successors and assigns, the right and privilege, for a period of fefteen (15) years from the effective date of this Ordinance, to construct, maintain, and operate in the City fo Georgetown, TAxas, and its successors, necessary wiring, cables, poles, underground conduits, manholes, and other apparatus for the purpose of operating and extending to the citizens of Georgetown, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof, a system of visual and audible entertainment in the homes by transmission of electronic impulses and television signals originating in a central studio or other facility over cables, wires, or other means, such visual and audible entertainment being reproduced in the homes through television sets or other electronic devices and to this end to use all streets, alleys and public grounds of the City now owned or hereafter acquired, subiect of such restric- tions as are hereby imposed and as may be hereafter imposed by law. SECTION 2s The surface of any street, alley highway or public place disturbed by the Grantee in building, constructing, renewing or maintaining its platn and system shall be restored within a reasonable time after completion of the work to as good a condition as before the commencement of the work. No street, alley hi-hway, or public place shall be encumbered for a longer period than shall be necessary to execute the work. The nrantee shall not disturb the surface of any street for the purpose of any construction without first obtaining authority to do so from the City. SECTION 33 The Grantee shall, at all times, make and keep full and complete plats, maps and records showing the exact location of all towers, poles, lines, cables and other equipment and facilities located and used by the Grantee in the City of Georgetown, Texas, in connection with such system. -1-
