COUNTY OF WILLIAFSONt
WHEREAS, on February 14, 1955, the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, duly passed an ordinance appointing J. T. Atkin, Diayor,
its agent to execute the agreements and instruments necessary to provide
Social Security benefits to certain of the employees of said City and to
carry out the provisions of House Bill 603, Acts K2nd Legislature, R. S.
1951, and Public Law 734. 81st Congress, ch.809,2d, H. R. 6000; and
WHEREAS, the said J. T. Atkin did, on February 14, 1955, execute an
agreement with the State Department of Public Welfare of Texas providing for
coveraCe of all the employees of the City of Georgetown, Texas. except those
engaged in performing services of emergency nature, those engaged in performing
services in part-time positions, and those engaged in performing services in
positions compensated on a fee basis, and those engaged in performing services in
elective positions, and
WHEREAS, IT is deemed advisable and desirable by the City Council of the
City of Georgetown, Texas, to amend the above mentioned agreement so as to include
and provide Social Security coverage for employees of the said City of Georgetown
performing services in part-time positions;
N04 THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texes. on this 8th day of April , 1963 that
Rawleigh S. Elliott , Mayor of said City, be authorized to act
as the agent of the said City Council to execute any nrd all necessary contracts,
agreements, and instruments of every kind and character to execute and bring about
the desired result of including employees of the said City performing services in
part-time positions.
On this 8th day of April , 1963, the above ordinance
was moved to be adopted 'by—Alderman E1Tans , and seconded by Alder-
man Lyda , whereupon a vote of the ity Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
