HomeMy WebLinkAbout0295_293293 X-MEIdT IMI T TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN An amendment to the ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending the Zoning Ordinance which went into effect on September 21, 1961, amending the Zoning District Yap and making this amendment a part of the map of the original ordinance; to change the hereinafter described property located at 408 W. 16th Street from "R-1" one -family dwelling district to "B-1" local retail district as hereinafter set forth. 3e it ordained by the City Qouncil of the City of Georgetown, Texas; 71IHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate; All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and beinZ situated in the City of Georgetown, Texas, described as follovist Being out of and a part of Outlet 2, Division "A" , in the City of Georgetown, viilliamson County, Texas, and being the 14 60ft. of the Second Tract described in a deed from A. iv. Hoyt and wife to P. V'i. Phillips and wife, dated September 28, 1943, recorded in Vol. 320 Pare 62, rl illiamson County, Deed Records and being more particularly described as followsc BEGINNING at the N ti`s corner of the tract hereibove mentioned, which said corner is likewise the N E corner of a lot formerly owned by Fay Sherman, said pt. being in the S Line of Glasscock Ave., T17r,,A�CE S 104 1/2 ft. for the S 4 corner of this lot; THENCE E 60 ft. for the S E corner of this lot; THENCE N 104 1/2 ft. to the S line of Glasscock Avenue for the N E corner of this lot; THENCE VJ with the S line of Glasscock Avenue b0 ft. to tho Place of Beginning. AND 7,1MEhS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Cormission for its recommendation and report; and 1,-[HrUtEAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "P-1" a one -family dwelling district to a "R-1" local retail district, which said meeting was held on June 28, 190,; and uY"HEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance gave notice of such hearing by publishing the seme three times in the :"iilliamson County.Sdn, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than 15 days from the first day of such publication; and
