SECTION IV. TUBERCULOSIS EXAMINATIONs
In addition to the foregoing, each such applicant shall be required
once each year to be further examined for tuberculosis by tuberculin skin
test and/or x-ray examination of the lungs, and in the event the applicant
takes the tuberculin skin test and it shows a positive reaction, such applicant
shall be required to have an x-ray examination of the lungs by a licensed
physician in Williamson County, Texas, or by the Williamson County ffealth
Department. In the event the tuberculin skin test and/or x- ray examination
of the lungs show the applicant to be free of tuberculosis, the Y+illiamson
County Health Department or physician making the test br the examination,
as the case may be, shall issue to the applicant a certificate showing the
applicant to be free of tuberculosis. The applicant shall then present his
physical examination certificate and his tuberculosis examination certificate
to the Williamson County health Department and shall thereupon be issued s
food handler's registration certificate by said Williamson County Health
Department , which shall be valid twelve (12) months from the time of the
taking of said physical -examination. Fach such certificate must be renewed
by each such applicant *&oh twelve(12)months by the same procedure as out-
lined above.
ARTICLE III
ENFORCF2TE'4,PENALTIES, REPEAL, ETC.
SECTION I. 11AKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR FOOD HANDLERS TO WORK AS STICH
WITHOUTGIS RA ION CERTIFICA11 s
It shall hereafter be unlawful fbr any food handler, as defined in
this ordinance, to work for any person, firm, borporation or association
as a food handler in the City of Geor etown , Texas, without having in his
or her possession a food handler's registration certificate issued to him or
her by the Williamson County Health Department, which is valid at the time of
such employment.
SECTION II. C01,9 UNICABLE DISEASE CONTROLS
When the City health Officer, the Director of the Williamson County
health Department or a representative os said department has reason to believe
that there exists a possibility of transmission of infection from a food
handler, he shall be authorized to require any or all Of the followings
(a) The immediate exclusion of the employee, as an employee,
from all food establishments.
(b) The immediate closing of the food establishment concerned
until no further danger of disease outbreak exists.
(c) Adequate medical examinations of the employee and of his
associates, with such laboratory examinations as may be indicated, the expense
of such examinations shall be the responsibility of the employer.
SECTION III. PENALTYs
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions hereof shall be
guilty of misdemeanor, and upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not less
than Ten Dollars ( $10.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars(t200.00) and each
day that a violation hereof continues shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION IV. REPEALING CLAUSES
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby expressly repealed insofar as the same are in conflict with this
ordinance.
