THHNCE N 870 30 ' E with the South line of a Lane or Road, 30 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
WHEREAS, said Gorgetown Independent School District has paid fbr
said land the sum of One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars in cash and
WHEREAS, the Georgetown Independent School District has the power
of Eminent Domain over all of the above- described land, and
WHERFAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the Georgetown Independent
School District consider that the use of said land for school purposes is
a better public use of said land, than its present use, and
Vr1iEREAS, the offer made for said land by Georgetown Independent School
District, is fair and reasonable, and it is to the best interests of the
said City that same be accepted,
VvIMEAS, this council by resolution dated November 19, 1963 authorized
the Mayor to sign a deed of conveyance to said Tract No. 1, and said deed
has been so executed and duly placed of record, and
AHERBAS, said prior resolution and deed should have covered both said
Tracts No. 1 and No. 2,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Gity of Georgetown,
Testas, accepts the said offer of Georgetown Independent School District, to
purchase the said 2.b5 acre tract of land and the said 0.1 acre tract of
land being Tracts No. 1 and No. 2, for the cash consideration of One Thousand
%14 ) Dollars, and that Rawleigh S. Elliott, Mayor of this City, is hereby
authorized and directed to make and diliver to the said Georgetown Ind"ndent
School District a good and sufficient Peed of Conveyance covering said Tract
No. 2, said ensh consideration of One 'thousand ($1,000) Dollars having already
been paid to the said City of Georgetown.
PASSED AND APPROVED This 13 day* of January, 1964."
