AMI;NTDAIKNT TO THE ZONING OIWINANCE OF THE *01
CITY OF GEORGETMN
An amendment to the ordinance of the City of Geoegetown, Texas, amending
the 'Zonings Ordinance which went into effect on September 21, 1961, amending; the
Zoning District Map and making; this amendment a part of the map of the original
ordinance; to change the hereinafter described real estate in said. City from "r-1",
One Family Dwelling District, to "b-1", Local Retail District, as hereinaifter
set forth.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas:
1',"I 1tf IS' an application has been arade to the City Council for the purpose
of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the followings described real estate:
All that certain tract, lot or parcel of land, lying, and beinn situated
in the City of Georgretown in Williamson County, Texas, and being described as
follows, to -wit:
TIEING a part of Lots 1 and 2 in Block "E" of the Dalrymple Addition to said
Town of Georgetown and described by metes and hounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point where the East line of Forest Street.and the Soutn line
of University Avenue intersect,, being the commonly accepted MV corner of I:ot, 1
of said Block "F" od Dalrymple Addition;
THENCE East with the South line of University Avenue 61 feet, the upper
NE corner hereof, being also the N1V corner of a lot of land conveyed by Mrs.
Rosa Peterson to Paul I:. Munson, by (teed dated June 6, 1931, recorded in Vol. 257,
Page 617, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas;
THENCE South 120 feet, parallel with the East line of Forest Street, to
corner, being; SIV corner of said Paul E. Munson Lot in the North line of a tract
conveyed to Noel Daniel;
THENCr North with the East, line of Forest Street, 120 feet to the Place
of Bergnnning.
ANT) MIEREM, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning; Commission for its reco►nmendation and report; and,
9 WIERI-:A`_>, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said
Zonings Ordinance on the above described property from "R-1", One Fanily Dwelling
District, to "B-1", Local Retail District, which said meeting, was held on November
23, 1965; and,
1yII1TMIS, the City Council before adopting* this amendment to the Zoning Ordin-
ance gave notice of such hearing by publishing, the same three times in the Williamson
County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice
stated the time and place of such hearing; and which time was not earlier titan fifteen
(15) days from the first day of such publication; and,
WIILREAS, tate City Planning; Com:iission approved the chatige aforesaid in the
Zoning Ordinance; and no protest was entered agrainst the proposed change; and,
W1I1—:111AS, written notices were given to all of the owners of lots within
two hundred (200) feet of the above described property, as required by law;
NOW, T11I?ItFFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown
that the Zoning, Ordinance, and the 'Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown be amended
so that the property above described sliall be and the same is hereby removed from
"r-1", One Familv Dwelling District, to "B-1", Local Itetail District.
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preser-
vation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of the
municipal department, it, is declared to be an emerirency measure, which shall
have and take effect followings its present reading► and adoption.
