AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
PARTICIPATION IN TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIRFUENT
SYSTEM BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance enacted on February 9, 1959, the City of
Georgetown exercised its option to have certain employees of said City partici-
pate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System as provided in Chapter 75,
Acts of the 50th Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown desires to amend said Ordinance
by adding the Fire Department of said City to those covered by the provisions
of the ordinance;
TFIERFIFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY DIE CITY COUNCIL OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT
Section 1 of said Ordinance shall hereafter be as follows:
"That on behalf of the City of Georgetown, Texas, the City Council hereby
exercises its option and elects to have the City and all the employees of the
following departments of said City, viz, utility, electric, water, sewer, office,
street sanitation, police and fire departments, participate -in the Texas
Municipal Retirement System as provided in Chapter 75, Acts of the 50th
Legislature, as amended, Article 7243 H of Vernon's Civil Statutes of Texas,
Qj and all of the benefits and obligations of such system are hereby accepted
'd4 as to such employees."

UAll of the other provisions of said Ordinance duly enacted on February 9,
U 1959 except as expressly changed herein shall remain in full force and effect.

LATIONS GOVF.ItNING 711E CONSTRUCTION, ALTFI RATION,
R 11OVAL, DBIOLITION, EQUIPMENT, USE AND OCCUPANCY,
LOCATION AND MAINTFNANCE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTUION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Williamson County, Texas:
Section 1. ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE.
There is hereby adopted by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the con-
struction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy,
location and maintenance of buildings and structures, including permits and
penalties, that certain building code known as the National Building Code
recommended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, being particularly
the 1955 ediction thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions
as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, of which -not less than (3)
copies have been and now are filed in the office.of the Clerk of the City of
Georgetown and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set
