AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A LIBRARY BOARD FOR TIIE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: PRESCRIBING ITS MEMBER-
SHIP, THEIR DUTIES, TERMS OF OFFICE AND QUALIFICATIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF GEOR.GETOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Georgetown, T,,xas is hereby
authorized and directed to appoint a nine member board to be known as City
Library Board,,
Section 2. The Board shall be composed of nine members and the
first appointed Board shall consist of three members appointed for one year;
three members appointed for two years, and the last three members appointed for
a term of three years. Thereafter, the term of each board member shall be for
three years. The officers of such Board shall be a chairman and a secretary
and they shall serve one year terms from October 1st each year through September
30th of the following year or until their successors are elected and qualified.
The mayor shall designate from among such members a Chairman and a Secretary of
such Board for the first year. Thereafter the Board shall elect from Among the
membership the chairman and the Secretary of the Board for the next one year
term. The Chairman shall be a voting member of the Board. The first Board shall
be appointed and take office :' 20th day of October , A. D. 1966.
Section 3. Such Library Board shall administer the affairs of the
Public Library of the City of Georgetown, Texas, under the Budget approved by
the City Council of the City of Georgetown, TExas..,The duties and powers of
such Board shall be approved by the City Council.
Section 4. This ordinance shall

RESOLUTION

IfflEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas., has found that
public necessity requires the construction of a sanitary sewer line and the con-
struction of a sanitary sewer lift station on land, hereinafter described by
reference to an exhibit, located outside the city limits of Georgetown, Texas in
order to provide for the safe elimination of sewage in the Country Club Acres
area in the City of Georgetown, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has found and determined that public necessity requires
the acquisition of an easement in the dimentions reflected on "Exhibit A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes across the land described on said
"Exhibit A" for the right-of-way to permit the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewer line and lift station; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has negotiated with the owners of'said land
and has been unable to agree with such owners as to the fair cash market value
of such easement; Now Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COITNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN:
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and directed to file
or cause to be filed against all owneKaid
holders, a suit in a ent
domain to acquire the said easement fsa itary sewer and li tation
purposes across the land described onEx ibit A".
