APPROVING THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND THE FEASIBILITY OF RELOCATION FOR
THE SOUTH SAN GABRIEL URBAN RENEIVAL PROJECT NO. TEX R-102.
WIiEREAS, Section 10 of Article 1269L Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes
of Texas, requires that the City Council, as governing body of the locality,
make certain findings concerning rehabilitation and other matters in the project
area:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby found and determined
that those areas in the South San Gabriel Project TEX H-102 be acquired for
public use and other than a public use, constitute a slum and blighted area,
and,
(a) That the rehabilitation of the project area without clearance would
be impractical, unfeasible and ineffective, based upon this Councils' findings
that at least 50 per cent of the structures in the South San Gabriel Urban Re-
newal Project area are dilapidated beyond the point of feasibelrebabilitation,
or are otherwise unfit for rehabilitation: and,
(b) That there exist other blighted characteristics such as over crowd-
ing of structures on the land, mixed use of structure, narrow, crooked incon-
venient, congested, unsafe and otherwise deficiences inripublic utilities and
recreational and community facilities.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
this the 21st day of January, 1967.

CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFICER
The undersigned hereby certifies that:
1. Ile is the duly qualified and acting City Secretary of the City of
Georgetown, TExas (hereinafter called the "Locality"), and the custodian
of the records of the Locality, including the minutes of the proceedings of
the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas (hereinafter called the
"Governing Body"); and is duly authorized to execute this certificate.
2. Attached hereto is a true and correct copy of a resolution, including
the WHEREAS clauses, adopted at a meeting of the Governing Body held on the
21st day of January, 1967, (hereinafter called the "Resolution of the
Governing Body").
3. Also attached hereto is a true and correct copy of the Urban Re-
newal Plan, which has been previously approved by the Urban Renewal Agency of the
City of Georgetown, as evidenced by a duly certified resolution of that body
attached to the Plan, presented at the meeting, and approved by the Resolution
of the Governing Body.
4. The Resolution of the Governing Body has been duly recorded in the
minutes of the meeting and is now in full force and effect.
5. The meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance
with law and the bylaws of the Locality. To the extent required by law or
