character contemplated by Section 110(c) of Title I.
4. That it is cognizant of the conditions that are imposed in the
undertaking and carrying out of urban renewal projects with federal fi-
nancial assistance under Title 1, including those relatiAg,.,to (a) a feas-
ible method of relocation, (b) the provisionofnecessary local grants-
in-aid, and (c) the prohibition of discrimination because of race, color,
creed, or national origin; as well as the requirement of Section 102(4)
of Title I that a General Neighborhood Renewal Plan conform to the local-
ity's general plan and workable program, for community improvement.
5. That it is the intention of this body that the General Neighbor-
hood Renewal Plan will be used to the fullest extent feasible as a guide
for the provision of public improvements in the General Neighborhood
Renewal Area and that the Plan will be considered in formulating codes and
other regulatory measures affecting property in such Area and in undertaking
other local governmental activities pertaining to the development, rede-
velopment, rehabilitation, and conservation of the Area.
6. That the filing of an application of the Urban Renewal Agency
of the City of Georgetown for an advance of funds from the United States
to enable it to defray the cost of preparing a General Neighborhood Renewal
Plan for the proposed General Neighborhood Renewal Area described above
is hereby approved.
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR WAIVES OF
LOCATION OF LP GAS SERVICE STATION
WITHIN TIIE CITY LIMITS OE' GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
WHEREAS, Lone Star Gas Company has applied for permission to relocate
one 30,000 gallon and one 14,279 gallon liquefied petroleum gas storage
tanks east of the intersection of Church and 21st Streets within the corporate
limits of the City of Georgetown; and,
WHEREAS, said tanks will be installed in compliance with the rules of
the Railroad Commission of Texas as set out in its Liquefied Petroleum
Gas Docket No. 1 pertaining to LP Gas Service Stations; and,
WIIERE:AS, such rules require a written waiver approved by the governing
body of the city if such installation is to be located within its corporate
limits; and,
WHEILEAS, the public convenience will be served by such installation.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, that the location of such installation within the cor-
porate limits of the City of Georgetown be waived with respect to said
installation only, that only one tank shall rotrude into said city limits
and such protrusion shall not exceed four (4 feet in distance into such
city -limits, but this resolution shall in no wise be construed as a waiver
with respect to any other tank, tanks, or location, and further, this res-
olution and waiver is subject to the approval of the Railroad Commission
of the State of Texas.
