HomeMy WebLinkAbout0117_110110 MEREAS. t,je .Tpisom, Authority of the City of Georgetown has a program reservation for 20 units of Low -hent Family Housing; from the Department of housing and Urban Development and these 20 units are needed as Relocation IIousings for larger families now living in poor housing in the said Project, Area; and IMEREAS, certain additional living units may be needed in said Project Area to accommodate homeowners displaced by reason of such activities. NOW, THI.REFORE, BE IT R.ESOLVID BY TILE CITY OF GEOIt ,,TOWN, TEXAS: That the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas agrees to pursue and construct through the local housing Authority the 20 units of low -rent housing as needed for relocation resources in Urban Renewal Displacement and the Turnkey I method of producing Public Housing will be used if nec- essary to provide the units at an appropriate time. It is further resolved that in the event, additional units are needed for homeowners, who will be displaced by the Urban Renewal, Turnkey III method of producing Pub- lic Housing (Tenants who have an option to purchase) will be considered as proved necessary after execution of the subject Project. CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFIC12t The undersigned hereby certifies that: 1. IIe is the duly qualified and acting City Secretary of the City of Georgetown, Texas (hereinafter called the "Locality"), and the custodian of the records of the Locality, including the minutes of the proceedings of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas (here- inafter called the "Governing Body"); and is duly authorized to execute this certificate. 2. Attached hereto is a true and correct copy of a resolution, including thq WIIERF.A&, Clauses, ad®pted at a- meeting of the Governing Body held on the 12th day of February, 1968, (hereinafter called the "Resolution of the Governing Body"). 3. Also attached hereto is -a trite and correct copy of the Urban Renewal Plan, which has been previously approved by the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, as evidenced by a duly certified resolu- tion of that body attached to the Plan, presented at the meeting, and approved by the Resolution of the Governing Body. 4. The Resolution of the Governing; Body has been duly recorded in the minutes of the meeting and is now in full force and effect. 5. The meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance with law and the bylaws of the Locality. To the extent required by law or the bylaws, due and proper notice of the meeting was given. A legal quaorum of members of the Governing Body was present throughout the meeting, and a legally sufficient number of members of the Governing Body voted in the proper manner for the adoption of the Resolution of the Governing; Body. All other requirements and proceedings under law, the bylaws, or otherwise, incident to the proper adoption of the Resolution of the Governing; Body, including any publication, if required by law, have been duly fulfilled, carried out, and otherwise observed. 6. The seal appearing below constitutes the official seal of the Locality and was duly affixed by the undersigned at the time this certificate was signed.
