from the land clearance and all other steps necessary to carry ont the pro-
posed plan.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider a proposal for the undertakinn
of the project, under state and local law, with federal financial assistance
under Title 1 of the (lousing Act, of 1949 (Public Law 171 - 81st Congress)
as amended; to acquire the land in the project area; to demolish or remove
bt.tildings and improvements, and to install, construct or reconstruct streets,
utilities and other site improvements, and to make the land available for
development or redevelopment by private enterprises, public and semi-public
a(,encies as authorized by law.
Any person or organization desiring to be heard will be afforded an
opportunity to be heard at such hearing. The proposals of the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Georgetown with respect to relocation, including families,
will be open for discussion at the hearing.

State Law requires this notice to he published three times in a newspaper
having a general circulation in the city, the first; of which notices shall
be published at least thirty days prior to the hearing.
Federal law requires that this notice shall be published at least once a
week for not less than two successive weeks prior to the date of the hearing
(the first publication to be not, less than ten days prior to the date of the
hearing, inclusive of the date of publication, but exclusive of the date
of heari.n„) in at least one newspaper of general ,circulation in the locality.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
APPROVING THE REVISED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND THE FEASIBILITY OF
RELOCATION FOR PROJECT NO. TEX R-102.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as
amended, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to provide
financial assistance to Local Public Agencies for undertaking and carrying out
urban renewal projects; and
WHEREAS, it is provided in such Act that contracts for financial aid there-
under shall require that the Revised Urban Renewal Plan for the respective project
area be approved by the governing body of the locality in which the project is
situated and that such approval include findings by the governing body that:
(1) the financial aid to be provided in the contract is necessary to enable the
roject to be undertaken in accordance with the Revised Urban Renewal Plan;
(p2) the Revised Urban Renewal Plan will afford maximum opportunity, consistent
with the sound needs of the locality as a whole, for the rehabilitation or
redevelspment of the urban renewal area by private enterprise; (3) the Revised
Urban Renewal Plan conforms to a general plan for the development of the locality
as a whole; and (4) the Revised Urban renewal Plan gives due consideration to the
provision of adequate park and recreational areas and facilities, as may be de-
sireable for neighborhood improvement, with special consideration for the health,
safety, and welfare of children residing in the general vicinity of the site
covered by the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Georgetown Urban Renewal Agency (herein called the "Local
Public Agency") has entered into a planning contract for financial assistance
under such Act with the United States of America, acting by and through the
Department of Housing and Urban Development, pursuant to which Federal funds
were provided for the urban renewal project (herein called the "Project")
