AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED
AND ADOPTEI) BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGE-
TOWN, ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, BY AMENDING
THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT
A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE; TO
CHANGE THE S.E. CORNER OF BLOCK NO. 1 OF THE GLASS -
COCK ADDITION FROM RS, RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY
DISTRICT TO C -2-A, COMMERCIAL, FIRST HEIGHT DISTRICT,
AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, Texas:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to City Council for the
purpose of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described
real estate:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated
in the city of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and being a part
of Block No. 1 of the Glasscock Addition to said City of Georgetown and
being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at the S.E. corner of said Block No.l;

THENCE W with the S line of said block 120 feet to corner;
THENCE N 120 feet to corner;

T WCE E 120 feet to E line of said block for corner;
THENCE S with E line of said block 120 feet to the place of
BEGINNING.
AND WHEU.AS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change
in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommen-
dation and report; and
WHEREAS the City Planning Commission has approved the changing
of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "RS,
Residential Single Family District" to "C -2A Commercial First Height
District," which said meeting was held on the 15th day of April, 1969;
and
WHEREAS the City Council before adopting this amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same one
time in the Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of
Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such
hearing and which time was not earlier than 15 days from the first day
of such publication; and
WHEREAS the City Planning Commission approved the change afore-
said in the Zoning Ordinance; said approval being given by said commission
on April 21, 1969; and
WHEREAS written notices were given to all of the owners of the
lots within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of G orgetown, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the 'Zoning Map of the
City of Georgetown, be amended so' that the property described above shall
be and the same in hereby removed from "RS, Single Family Residence
district", to "C -2A Commercial First Height District".
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immed-
iate preservation of public business and to provide for the usual daily
operation of a municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency
measure, which shall have and take effect following its present reading
and adoption.
Read and passed and adopted by unanimous vote, this 28th day of
April, 1969.
