BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAh1SON
COUNTY, TEXAS:
(1) The hlayor of the City of Georgetown, Texas is hereby authorized
to submit the re -certification document, for the "Workable Program for
Cummunity Improvement" to the Department of housing and Urban Develop-
ment.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Olt MODIFING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968,
AMMIDING SUB -SECTION 2.0401, PARAGRAPH 14 OF SECTION
2.04: C-1 LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT REGULATIONS OF SAID
ZONING ORDINANCE ALLOSING THE ERECTION OF A SIGN FORTY
FEET IN HEIGHT ON LOTS 7 AND 8 IN BLOCK 27 OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AS HEItEINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose
of amending Sub -section 2.0401 Paragraph 14 of Section 2.04: C-1 Local Comm-
ercial District Regulations of the Zoning Ordinance in regard to the use
regulation on the following described real estate;
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the
City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas and being Lots 7 and 8 in Block
27 of the City of Georgetown, as shown on the revised map thereif.
AND W[MiL/�i, the City Council has submitted the application to amend
Sub -section 2.0401 Paragraph 14 to said Zoning Ordinance being an application
to make exception as to the height of a sign for the purpose or erecting a
sign forth feet, in height, on said Above described property, instead of twenty-
five fee"t in beight as now allowed under said Ordinance, to the City Planning
Coiiwdssion for its.recommendation and report; and,
W -1111"S written notices were given to all the owners of the Lots or
property within 200 feet of the above'deseribed property as required by law.
blIE1tM8 the City Planning and Zoning Commission before making its re-
commendation to the City Council gave notice of such hearing by publishing the
same one time in the Williamson County Sun, the weekly newspaper for the City
of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of hearing
which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the day of such publication,
and,
"'iHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved and recommended the
changing or m®difying of such 'Zoning Ordinance and the granting an exception
to allow the erection of a sign forty feet in height upon the above described
real estate, at its regular meeting held on the 28th day of Ootoher, 1969,
and,
NOW THEREFORE:, be it resdbved by the City Council of the City ofGeorgetown,
that Sub -Section 2.0401, Paragraph 14 of Section 2.04: C-1 Local Commercial
District Regulations, be and the same is hereby amended and modified so that
a sign forty feet in height may be erected upon the bereinabove described real
estate.
Read, passed and adopted by unanimous vote, this 12th day of November,
1969.
