Mrs. R. D. Riggs and Mrs. J. H. Montgomery are appointed judges of the
election, and Mrs. Tom C. McAferty and Mrs. N. R. Landry are appointed clerks
of said election. Said election shall be held at the Gity Fire Station, in
the City of Georgetown, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.,
on aid date of April 4, 1970. Said election shall be governed by the election
laws of the State of Texas, and all qualified voters residing in the City
shall be entitled to participate therein. Said election officers shall make
their returen of the result of said election to the City Council, showing
the total vote: affirmative, vote on sai&iproposed charter, and the negative
vote thereon, together with the Tally Sheet and Poll List, prior to the
April 13, 1970 meeting of the Council of the City.
Be it further ordained that a copy of this order of election, duly
certified by the City ,ecretary, shall constitute notice of election, and
same shall be published for the time and in the manner required by law.
Be it further ordained that 30 days prior to said election, the City
Secretary shall mail to each qualified voter of the City, a copy of siad
proposed Charter.
Since there is no sufficient and adequate Charter for the City 6f
Georgetown, and since the lace creates a public necessity and emergency
therefore, it is imperative that all rules relative to delaying the passage
of this ordinance be waived and that it be passed upon the day of its introd-
uction.

I, Claud Eads, Secretary of the City of Georgetown, do hereby certify that the
fore -going is a true and correct copy of an ordinance passed by the City of
Georgetown, Texas, finally on the 23rd. day of February, 1970, to -wit:
An order of election submitting the proposed Charter to the qualified voters
of said City.
To which I certify under my official signature and seal of the City of George-
town, Texas.
