NOTICE TO BIDDERS
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ELEVATED WATER
TANK AND APPURTENANCES FOR THE CITY OF GFORGETOWN, TEXAS.
The City of Georgetown, Texas will receive sealed bids until 3:00 P.M. CST
Monday, May 4th., 1970 at the office of the City Manager, Georgetown, Texas at
which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing materials
and doing all the work in connection with the Construction of an Elevated Water
Tank and Appurtenances.

Copies of plans and specifications may be examined without charge in the Office
of the City Manager, Georgetown, Texas or in the office of W. II. Mullins, Inc.
Consulting Engineer, D-206 Petroleum Center, San Antonio, Texas and may be
obtained fuomthe engineer upon payment of $25.00 for each set. Any unsuccessful
bidder upon returning such set promptly and in good condition will be refunded
his full deposit and any non -bidder upon so returning such a set will be refunded
$15.00.
Bids must be submitted on the proposal form furnished by the engineer. Erich Bid
shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check,
cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of 5,$ of the total bid price. Any
bid received after closing time will be returned unopened.
The City of Georgetown, Texas reserves the right to reject any or all bids,
to award the contract in what it deems its best interest and to waive any in-
formality or technicality in the proposal, and agrees to take action within
thirty (30) days.
Given pursuant to a resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas on the 13th day of April, 1970.

RESOLUTION
WHEN, the City of Georgetown, T xas desires to construct sewage treat-
ment works and proposes to file an application through the State Water Pollution
Control Agency to the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration for federal
grant under Public Law 660, as amended.
BE IT RESOLVED BY Mayor and City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
1. That, prior to completion of the project, will provide an'operation and
maintenance manual for the facilities which is acceptable to the State
Water Pollution Control Agency and the Federal Water Pollution Control
Administration and will fulfill the tasks of operation and maintenance of
the facilities after completion in accordance with the manual.
2. Will employ qualified personnel in accordance with the recommendations
or requirements of the State Water Pollution Control Agency to operate
the sewage treatment plant; and, will require its consulting engineer
or agent to provide certain on-the-job training for employees during
start-up of the facilities.
3. Estimate that the cost for operation and maintenance will be approxi-
mately $38,000 per annum. ($38,000.00 includes operation of entire
sewer system plus proposed project.)
