BEING 17.96 acres situated East of and adjacent to the present East City Limits
line of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and being in the William Addison Survey,
Abstract No. 21 in Williamson County, Texas.
BEGINNING at a point where the present East City Limits line crosses the South
boundary line of the Last Lynn Addition to the City of Georgetown, said addition
being recorded in Book 4, Page 22 of the Plat Records of Williamson County,
Texas, this point is approximately 409.5 feet North of the Southeast corner of
the present city limits and is N700 45' E, 135555 feet from the Southwest corner
of the East Lynn Addition which is located on the East margin of Hutto Road;
THENCE N 700 45' E, 639.25 feet along the South boundary line of the said East
Lynn Addition and the proposed New City Limits line to a point, for the Southeast
corner of the said addition and the Southeast corner hereof;
TIILNCE N 190 1V, 868.6 feet with the proposed East City Limits line to the North-
east corner of the East Lynn Addition, this point beingon the South boundary
line of the Joe B. McMaster tract of land described in Vol. 524, Page 705 of the
Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, said point being on or near the South-
east corner of said tract;
TII):M E continuing with the proposed East City Limits line and the East boundary
Q'J line of the McMaster Tract and a tract of land belonging to Grady It. Watkins as
follows: N 170 17' W, 123.2 feet; N 720 30' E, 31.9 feet; and N 190 10' W, at
517.4 feet, the Northeast corner of the McMaster tract and continuing for a
total distance of 667.4 feet to the Northeast corner of the Watkins tract on the
South R.O.W. line of State Highway No. 29, said point being the Northeast corner
hereof;
THENCE S 700 56' W, 446.45 feet along the South R.O.W. line of State highway
No. 29 to a point on present East City Limits line and the North boundary line of
University Terrace Addition to the City of Georgetown;
TII CE S 190 E, 1003 feet with the present East City Limits line to a.point
approximately 39 feet South of the South margin of East 15th Street and 20 feet
East of the East margin of Mimosa Street, this line also running parrallel with
and 240 feet East of the East margin of liutto Road;
TIIENCE Due South, 695.5 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TI?,11: AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON TIM PROPOSED ANNLXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF /
GEOAGETOW`N1 , TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUI3LIC HEARING: AND DECLARING AN E.%lERGLNCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETUMN, TEXAS:
Section 1. on the 22nd, day of February, 1971 at 7:30 P.N. o!clock in the City
Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Georgetown, Texas the City Council
will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and
be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Georgetown, Texas of the property
described on "Exibit A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all
purposes.
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Georgetown is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper
having general circulation in the city and in'the above described territory not
more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act Chapter 160, Acts
of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas
Civil Statutes.
Section 3. The importance of this ordinance creates an emergency and_an
imperative public necessity that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at three
several meetings be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, and the ordinance
shall take effect and be in force from and after tis adoption.
