HomeMy WebLinkAbout0273_268268 WHEREAS, said Petition was presented to the City Council on the 14th day of February, 1972, such date being not less than five (5) and not more than thirty (30) days from the date hereof and, WHEREAS, after hearing such Petition and the arguments for and against the same, the City Council has voted to grant such Petition and to annex said territory to the City of Georgetown, Texas: Now, therefor, by the ordinance of the City Council of the City of George- town, Texas: That the foregoing described property be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas and that the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas be and the same are hereby extended to include the above-described territory within the City limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the same shall hereinafter be included with the terri- tory limits of said City , but the City shall have no obligation to install streets, water lines, sewer lines or other utilities on said land; future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of Georgetown, Texas and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Georgetown, Texas, a certified copy of this ordinance. Passed on the first reading this 14th day of February, 1972. Passed on the second reading this 13th day of March, 1972. Passed by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council, this 13th day of March, 1972. ATTEST: Secretary Jay C. Sloan, Mayor BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEOR[;ETOWN, TEXAS: 1. That Harold S. Parker and wife, Peggy M. Parker; J. T. Parker, Jr. and wife, Annie E. Parker; Ralph Parker and wife, Pegee N. Parker; and Vivian N. Dunman and husband, Cecil Dunman, owners of that certain tract of land desig- nated as Country Club Acres, Unit 5, City of Georgetown, Texas, are hereby authorized to file for record in the office of the County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas, the Map or Plat of -said tract attached hereto, and the said County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas, is hereby authorized to accept for filing and to record said Map of said Tract of land. 2. In authorizing the filing and recording of said Map of said land, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, does not assume any obligat- ion to grade, improve or maintain the streets shown thereon.
