HomeMy WebLinkAbout0323_318318 RESOLUTION THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON CITY OF GEORGETOWN WHEREAS, it is contemplated that the City of Georgetown, Texas will construct certain wastewater facilities; and it is deemed necessary and proper to apply for a federal grant under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972, Public Law 92-500, and the rules and regulations pursuant thereto. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the above named applicant that Joe E. Crawford, Mayor or his successor, is hereby authorized and directed to make application for a federal grant under Public Law 92-500 and the rules and regulations:. pursuant thereto, and to sign the acceptance of the grant, when made, and any other necessary documents required to complete the project on behalf of the above named applicant. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above named applicant will: Provide an operation and maintenance manual for the facilities which is acceptable to the State Water Pollution Control Agency and the Environmental Protection Agency and will fulfill the tasks described therein for the proper and efficient operation and mainten- ance of the facilities lifter completion of construction. Provide the necessary funds which are estimated to be approximately $20,000.00 per annum for the proper operation and maintenance of the facilities. Employ qualified personnel in accordance with the recommendations or requirements of the State Water Pollution Control Agency to operate the wastewater facilities; and will require its consulting engineer or agent to provide certain on-the-job training for employees during start-up of the facilities. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of June 1973 A. D. ATTEST: City Secretary ORDINANCE WHEREAS, 4. H. Compton has made application to the Planning and Zoning Commission for issuance of a special permit authorizing the erection of an advertizing sign of the outdoor variety of a height of 28 feet adjacent to the building owned by said applicant of a height of 17 feet; and, WHEREAS, Subsection 14 of Section 2.0401 styled "Use Regulations" for C-1 Local Commercial District Regulations provides that no sign shall have a height greater than any building on the premises on which it is located; and, WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has fully considered such application at its April 23, 1973, meeting; and, WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has voted to grant such application for the erection of such sign on Lot 5, Block 1, City of Georgetown Glasscock Addition, Williamson County, Texas. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that the said application for special permit to erect an outdoor advertizing sign with a height of 28 feet adjacent to building of 17 feet in height is hereby granted and a certified copy of this ordinance shall serve as such permit. The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of the municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
