HomeMy WebLinkAbout0328_323323 WHEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance gave notice to such hearing by publishing the some two (2) times in the Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notices stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen (15) days from the first date of such publication; and, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the aforesaid change in the Zoning Ordinance; said approval being given by said Commission on June 19, 1973; and, WHEREAS, written notices were given to all of the owners of the Lots within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law; NOW, THEREFORE, BE it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be amended so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby removed from "R -S" Single Family District, to "RM -3" Multiple Family District(3). The enactment of this Ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take effect following its present reading and adoption. WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation having an interest in the following described property, to -wit: BEING 16.95 acres in the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497 in Williamson County, Texas, and being out of and a part of a tract of 72.80 acres described in a deed from Russell Parker and wife, Irene Williams Parker to Russell D. Parker and Ronald W. Parker, deed dated April 24, 1973 and recorded in the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. BEGINNING at an iron stake marking the most northerly corner of Lot 17, Block 6 of Williams Addition, Unit 2 to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, said point being on the Northwest Boundary line of said addition and also being the Northeast corner of a tract of 6.93 acres of land described in a deed from Russell Parker and wife, Irene .
