SECTION 6. SAVING CLAUSE.
Nothing in this ordinance or in the code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect
any suit or proceeding now pending in any Court, or any rights acquired, or liability in-
curred, nor any clause or causes of action accrued or existing, under any act or ordinance
repealed hereby. Nor shal I any right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or aff-
ected by this ordinance.
SECTION 7. VALIDITY.
The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance or of the code hereby
adopted shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.
SECTION 8. INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES REPEALED.
Ordinances or parts thereof in force at the time that this ordinance shall take effect
and inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed.
SECTION 9. DATE OF EFFECT.
This ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage.

AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR
PLUMBING INSPECTIONS FOR ALL PLUMBING WHEREVER WATER
ORIGINATING FROM THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN WATER SYSTEMS:
PROVIDING FOR PLUMBING INSPECTOR: PROVIDING FOR ADOTPION
OF THE SOUTHERN STANDARD PLUMBING CODE: FIXING QUALIF-
ICATIONS OF PLUMBING INSPECTOR OR PLUMBING INSPECTORS:
REPEALING ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH: DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER RELATED
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, owns and operates in a governmental
capacity, a Water System as a Municipal Utility; such system having plants, pumps and
transmission lines within and without the corporate limits of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, and;
WHEREAS, , certain municipalities, private companies, governmental agencies,
firms and individuals not within the corporate limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
are purchasers of water from the said Water System, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, is very desirous of maintaining a pure
Water Supply.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Southern Standard Plumbing Code. The provisions and regulations of the
Southern Stantard Plumbing Code published and recommended by the Southern Building Code
Congress, being particularly the 1971 Edition with 1973 Revisions, and amendments hereto,
