Each voter shall place an "X" or other clear mark in the square beside the statement
indicating the way the voter wishes to vote on each proposition.
That said election shall be held and conalucted in effect as two separate but simult-
aneous elections, to wit: One elction at which only the resident qualified voters who own
taxable property in the City and who have duly rendered the some for taxation shall be entitled
to vote, and another election at which all other resident qualified voters of the City shall
be entitled to vote.
The votes cast at each said separate but simultaneous election shall be recorded,
returned and canvassed separately.
Where the term "election" is used in this resolution and order for election, it shall
mean the separate but simultaneous elections. In further explanation, if need be, the
taxpaying voters vote in one box and the non -taxpaying voters vote in the other box.
Regular voting will be from 8:00 a.m, to 7:00 p.m.
That a substantial copy of this resolution and order for election shall serve as proper
notice of said election and said notice shall be pposted at the City Hall and at two (2)
other public places within the City not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the date
on which said election is to be held, and said notice shall be published on the same day
in each of twosuccessive weeks in a newspaper published in the City of Georgetown, the
first of said publications to be made not less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date set
for said election.
The manner of holding said election shall be governed, as near as may be, by the
Texas Election Code, as amended, except as modified by applicable law.
PASSED AND APPROVED at a meeting open to the public this the 8th day of
April, 1974, after public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given
and posted as required by law.
