HomeMy WebLinkAbout0396_391391 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE THAT PARCEL OR TRACT OF LAND IN THE N. PORTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 497, IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, FROM "Cl" LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "C211" LOCAL COMMERCIAL SECOND HEIGHT AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an Application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the zoning ordinance on the following described real estate; BEING 1.787 acres in the City of Georgetown, Willimson'County, Texas, and being a part of the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497, and being out of and a part of a tract of land described in a deed to Irene Williams Parker, said deed being of record in Vol. 410, O� Page 25 of the Deed Records of the Williamson County, Texas. d� CD BEGINNING at an iron stake marking the Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed G� U to Humble Oil and Refining Company by deed dated August 31, 1965, and recorded in Vol. 481, Page 45 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, said point being on the West R. O. W. line of Interstate Highway No. 35 and being N, 29018'E, 250 feet along said R. O. W. line from a conrete R. O. W. marker opposite Engineers centerline Station 795+00; THENCE N 60042'W, 150 feet along the North boundary line of the Humble tract to the Northwest corner thereof, said point also being the most northerly corner of a tract of land conveyed to Rudy Mikeska, deed of record in Vol. 496, Page 550 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE N 59048'W, 257.83 feet along the North line of the Mikeska tract to a point for the Southwest corner hereof; THENCE N 32034'30"E, 139.77 feet to a point on the South boundary line of a 2.88 acre tract described in a deed to Carl J. Doering and George F. Greeg, deed of record in Vol. 523, Page 471 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE S 75000'E,412.59 feet along the South boundary line of the said 2.88 acre tract and along the North boundary line hereof to an iron stake set on the West R. O. W. line of Interstate Highway No. 35 for the Northeast corner hereof; THENCE S 29018'W, 245.50 feet along the said West R. O. W. line of Interstate Highway No. 35 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; -and WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "Cl Local Commercial District" to "C2B Local Commercial Second Height", which said decision was reached by the City Planning Commission after having had a hearing on said matter on May 9, 1974 at 7:30; and, WHEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same on April 25, 1974, in the Williamson County Sun, a- weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen (15) days from the first date cF such publication; and,
