ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF TIMBER
STREET, DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" HERETO ATTACHED, AS WELL AS A
PORTION OF SEVENTH STREET, DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" HERETO ATTACHED,
IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, a petition has been made to the City Council by the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Georgetown, Ethel Houston, and St. Paul's United Methodist Church,
the owners of certain property in Blocks 34 and 44 of the City of Georgetown, Williamson
County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, said petition states that the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of
Georgetown has acquired sufficient property in said blocks to sell lots out of the property
which has been acquired, and that in order to do so, it will be necessary to vacate and
abandon those portions of Timber and Seventh Streets described in the exhibits hereto
attached, and that the Urban Renewal Plan hereto fore adopted for the South San Gabriel
Project provides that certain property in said blocks, together with such portions of Timber
and Seventh Streets, shall be developed as a whole; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
that the portion of Timber Street described in Exhibit "A" herto attached, and the portion
of Seventh Street described in Exhibit "B" hereto attached, be and the some are hereby
Ovacated, closed and abandoned.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
on First Reading the 10th day of June, 1974; and PASSED on Second and Final Reading
this 8th day of July, 1974.

EXHIBIT "A"
BEING a portion of Timber Street in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County,
Texas, further described as follows:
BEGINNING at the NE corner of Block 44 of the City of Georgetown, Williamson
County, Texas:
THENCE North, at 80 ft., the SE corner of Block 34 of the City of Georgetown,
Williamson County, Texas, continuing an additional 240 ft. to the NE corner of said Block 34,
a total distance of 320 ft.;
THENCE East a distance of 5 ft.;
THENCE South parallel with the E line of said Block 34, at 240 ft. intersect the
N boundary line of Seventh Street, and continuing an additional 80 ft. to the S boundary
line of Seventh Street, and a total distance of 320 ft.;
THENCE West 5 ft. to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
