In order to facilitate this matter, we will not send a letter protest with each payment
of billings but the contract is executed with the understanding that there will be a
continuing protest to all such fuel costs.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, TO SUBMIT THE RE -CERTIFICATION DOCUMENT TO THE DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS:
The Mayor of the City of Georgetown, Texas, is hereby authorized to submit the
re -certification document, for the "Workable Program for Community Improvment" to the
Department of Housing and Urban Development.

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE PROPOSED PROJECTS OF THE GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE, WITH THE PURPOSE,.OF ENCOURAGING
ALL GEORGETOWN CITIZENS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CELEBRATION OF OUR
NATION'S 200TH BIRTHDAY.
WHEREAS, the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission was established by a
Joint Resolution of the 89th Congress and the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission
of Texas was established by the Texas Senate; and in order to review and reaffirm the ideals
and basic principles upon which this notion was founded, and to commerate the nation's
200th birthday; and,
WHEREAS, through action of the Mayoc and City Council of Georgetown, a Bicen-
tennial Committee has been established including representatives of the City, Southwestern
University, Georgetown Public Schools, Youth, Senior Citizens, Ethnic groups, Churches,
Civic and Patriotic Organizations, and the Chamber of Commerce, with the intent of re-
cognizing and celebrating the heritage of our Nation and our community. and
WHEREAS, the Bicentennial Committee of Georgetown has adopted a program of
proposed projects to be attained for this community during this bicentennial era to include:
projects for the preservation of and promotion of interest in the HERITAGE of our nation
and our community,
projects which will comprise a FESTIVAL of celebrations and activities throughout
the years of 1975 and 1976, to involve all the citizens of our community, as well as attract
visitors from other places, and
