BY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND PRESCRIBING THE RATES OF THE GENERAL
TELEPHONE COMPANY OF THE SOUTHWEST: AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECT-
IVE DATE OF THESE RATES.
WHEREAS, the General Telephone Company of the Southwest has filed an Application
with the City Council of the City of Georgetown to increase its rates within the City of
Georgetown to be charged to users of local exchange telephone service, and the City Council
after duly considering said Application, making an investigation, study, and giving the
Company a Hearing, is of the opinion that the rates prescribed in this Ordinance will yield
a fair rate of return to the Company on the property actually used for rendering service to
the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN:
Section 1. That the General Telephone Company of the Southwest is hereby authorized to
place in effect as of the 14th day of April A. D., 1975, the following schedule of rates:

One Party Business
Two Party Business - Flat Rate
Multi -Party Business, Rural -Flat Rate
Business Extension - Flat Rate
Semi -Public Coin Station
One Party Residence - Flat Rate
Two Party Residence - Flat Rate
Four Party Residence - Flat Rate
Multi -Party Residence, Rural - Flat Rate
Residence Extension - Flat Rate
The rate for Key System circuits is $17.50.
The rate for PBX trunks is $24.50.

Section 2. A service charge of $30.00 for residential and $40.00 for business shall be established
as a charge for minimum service, installation, reconnects and moves or changes.
Section 3. That the present levels of rates and charges for miscellaneous services and equip-
ment not included in the rates specified in this Ordinance were taken into account in establish-
ing the here approved schedule rates and charges, and all such rates and charges for miscell-
aneous services and equipment shall remain subject to the powers of the City Council. There-
fore, in the event that the General Telephone Company of the Southwest desires to increase
such rates and charges for miscellaneous services and equipment it shall, prior to instituting
any increase in such rates and charges, file with the City a proposed tariff, together with a
report showing the class of service or equipment involved, the present annual revenues being
obtained from such service, the prospective number of customers to be affected, the amount
of the proposed monthly increase in the rates and charges for such service, and the estimated
annual increase in revenues to be generated by such increase in rates and charges.
Section 4. That these rates shall become effective at 12:01 a.m, on the 14th day of April,
A.D., 1975.
Section 5. That the rates prescribed in the Ordinance of September 25, 1972 are hereby
rescinded and set aside as of the effective date of the rates prescribed in this Ordinance.
