HomeMy WebLinkAbout0477_472472 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS TO ENTER INTO A SUPPLEMENTAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS 8E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: as follows: The Mayor of the City of Georgetown, Texas is hereby authorized to enter into a Supplemental Cooperation Agreement with the Housing Authority of the City of George- town, Texas, said agreement being as follows: This agreement entered into this 10th day of June, 1975 by and between the George- town Housing Authority and the City of Georgetown, Texas, witnesseth: In consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter set forth, the parties hereto do agree as follows: The City of Georgetown, Texas has included and will continue to include require- ments for Section 8, low and very low income rent assisted housing in its Housing Assis- tance Plan as required by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. The Georgetown Housing Authority will assume Public Housing Authority responsi- bility for administering the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment Program established by Title II of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as permitted by Laws of the State of Texas.
