RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown has at its meeting on this day
held considered the propriety and the advisability of instituting annexation proceedings
relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and,
WHEREAS, Article 970a of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes prescribes procedures to be
followed regarding the publication of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such matters:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN that on the 14th day of July, 1975, at 6:00 p.m. o'clock in the City
Council Chamber of City Hall of the City of Georgetown, Texas, the City Council will hold
a public hearing, giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed
annexation by the City of Georgetown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit:
Being that certain tract and parcel of - land in the L. J. Dyches Survey,
Abstract No. 180, and the F. A. Hudson Survey, Abstract No. 295,
all in Williamson County, of land and being described by metes and bound,
0 on the attached and annexed "Exhibit A" made a part of this resolution for all
V purposes to the same and full extent as if same were copied herein at length
word for word.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Georgetown is hereby
authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not
more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said public hearing,
all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th
Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 24th day of June, 1975, at a specially called
meeting of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.

EXHIBIT A
BEING 182.89 acres in the L. J. Dyches Survey, Abstract No. 180, and the F. A. Hudson
Survey, Abstract No. 295; in Williamson County, Texas, and being the same tract of land
described as 182.83 acres in a deed from Owen W. Sherrill, and wife, Kay Deaver Sherrill
to National Housing Industries, Inc., deed dated February 19, 1974, and recorded in Volume
583, Pages 534 thru 538 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas.
BEGINNING at an iron stake found beside a fence corner post at the North east corner
of the above referred to 182.83 acre tract;
THENCE S 21022' E, 2787.50 feet with a fence along the East boundary line hereof to on
iron stake found by a fence corner post marking the Southeast corner hereof and the Southeast
corner of the said 182.83 acre tract;
THENCE with a fence along the South boundary line hereof as follows:
S 68001' W, 903.86 feet to an iron stake found by a fence post;
S 71052' W, 183.65 feet to an iron stake found by a fence post;
