HomeMy WebLinkAbout0029_2828 A RESOLUTION RESCINDING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AND MAKING THAT PORTION OF ASH STREET WHICH IS SITUATED BETWEEN UNIVERSITY AVENUE AND TENTH STREET A ONE WAY STREET FOR NORTH BOUND TRAFFIC WHEREAS, heretofore by Ordinance enacted on January 17,,1966, on the first and final reading, the City of Georgetown enacted an Ordinance providing for and making that portion of Ash Street that is situated between University Avenue and Tenth Street a one-way street for north bound traffic, a copy of said Ordinance is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes as if copied herein at length; and (See Ordinance 0 1 - Page 0479) WHEREAS, the Georgetown Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that such Ordinance be rescinded and that the above mentioned portion of Ash Street should be used for two-way traffic: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Ordinance, copy of which is attached hereto as aforesaid is hereby RESCINDED: and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Ash Street which is situated between University Avenue and Tenth Street shall hereafter be used as a two-way street.
