RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown has, at its meeting on this day
held, considered the propriety and the advisability of instituting annexation proceedings
relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly filed by all of the owners of said
tract of land; and
WHEREAS, Article 970a of the Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes prescribed procedures to be
followed regarding the publication of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such matters:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGE-
TOWN that on the 13th day of July, 1976, at 6:30 o'clock in the City Council Chamber of
City Hall of the City of Georgetown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing,
giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by
the City of Georgetown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit:
NORTHWOOD OAKS, a subdivision in Williamson County, Texas, according
to the map or plat thereof of record in Vol. 10, Page 82, Plat Records, William-
son County, Texas
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Georgetown is hereby
rauthorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in the
W newspaper having general circulation in the City, and in the above described territory not
more than twenty (20) days, nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said public hearing,
all in accordance with the Muncipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160,'Ac ts of the 58th Legislature,
Regular Session,., 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 25th day of June, 1976, at a meeting of the City
Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
