HomeMy WebLinkAbout0182_180rim THENCE due North 150' to the South line of the extension of Morrow Street in North Georgetown, THENCE with the South line of Morrow Street, N. 89 deg. 40' W. 1066 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 20 acres of land. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that at the time of the delivery of said Quitclaim Deed to River Oaks Landscaping, Inc. the said Ray F. Thomas, Sr, and wife, Dorothy Thomas shall execute and deliver a Quitclaim Deed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, conveying all of their rights, titles and interest, if any in and to the property described as follows: BEI NG a part of a 19 1/2 acre tract and all of a 2 acre tract conveyed to J. C. Peterson on the 18th day of March A. D. 1880 and recorded in the land register Vol. 24 pages 390 and 391 and the tract of land hereby conveyed is more particularly described as follows, towi t: AND BEGINNING at a stake in the South bank of the Gabriel River from which a Becon bears S 42 1/2 deg. W. 15 1/3 vrs. the some being the beginning corner of a ten acre tract conveyed to W. J. and E. R. Anderson and J. M. Page. THENCE S. 19 E. 140 varas to stake and stone mound. THENCE S. 50 deg. W. 188 4/5 vrs. to a stake. THENCE N. 1/4 deg. E. 153 vrs. to the center of the channel of the Gabriel River to the corner of the Anderson and Page tract. THENCE S. 19 deg. E. with their W. line to the beginning containing six acres. This tract being the same property conveyed to Georgetown Waterworks Company, by J. C. Peterson and C. M. Peterson, on the 27th day of June, 1883 and recorded in Vol. 32, Page 42, of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. A copy of both of said Quitclaim Deeds, the one from the City of Georgetown being marked Exhibit A and the one from Ray F. Thomas, Sr. and wife, Dorothy Thomas, being marked Exhibit B, are attached to this resolution and made a part hereof for all purposes as if copied herein at length word for word; AND AS FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that for the further consideration for this agreement, said City shall cease to use the lower hike and bike trail or like uses.
