HomeMy WebLinkAbout0338_336336 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIN COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN: SECTION 1. That the certain agreement dated April 11, 1979 between the State of Texas and the City of Georgetown, Texas, fir the survey to inspect, appraise and inventory bridges on public roads and streets, is hereby approved, and Mayor John C. Doerfler is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Georgetown and to transmit the same to the State of Texas for appropriate action. SECTION 2. Doerfler, Ma or ORDINANCE NO. 79-13 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY BETWEEN LOTS 21 AND 24 ON THE NORTH AND LOTS 23 ON THE SOUTH IN THE FLEAGER ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, an alley being approximately twenty feet in width and lying between lots 21 and 24 on the north and lot 23 on the south in the Fleager Addition to the City of Georgetown, is found to exist; and, WHEREAS, future use of the above described alley by the public is deemed unnecessary by virtue of the Urban Renewal Plan for the area, now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that the portion of an alley lying between lots 21 and 24 on the north and lot 23 on the south, of the Fleager Addition to the City of Georgetown, Texas, is hereby vacated and abandoned, except that the City of Georgetown shall retain a ten foot easement in any portion of the above described property where city owned utilities now exist; the center line of any such easement shall be the particular utility to which the easement applies. It is also hereby declared that an emergency exists to provide for the orderly development of properties affected by this abandonment, thereby requiring only one reading of this ordinance.
