HomeMy WebLinkAbout0474_472472 70,444 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CER- TAIN TERRITORY, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMIT OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS. WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of that certain tract of land located in Williamson County, and more fully described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto has been held; and WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a news- paper having general circulation in the City of Georgetown, Texas, said notice being published not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to such public hearing; and WHEREAS, the territory more fully described in Exhibit "A" lies within the extra territorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, said territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundary limit of the City of Georgetown; now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGEMk .�.- TEXAS: Section 1. The following described land and territory lying adjact..., and adjoining the City of Georgetown, Texas, is hereby added and annexes! ; the City of Georgetown, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described !1 hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the present boundary limits of such City, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered aiad amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to wit: Being that certain tract of land described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes. (RS) Section 2. The land hereby annexed is zoned Residential Single Family Section 3. The above described territory and the area so annexed gall be a part of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the property so added her. shall hear its pro rata part of the taxes levied by the City of Georgetown; i �_•xas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all of the rights and privile .• - - -; of all the citizens nrid shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions ar- regulations of the City of Georgetown, Texas. Section 4. This ordinance shall be published and passed in the macnnt-r provided in the Charter of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the applicable: laws of the State of Texas.
