AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING CUTTING OF PUBLIC
STREETS OR CURB SECTIONS OR CONDUCTING EX-
CAVATION OPERATIONS OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAYS
WITHOUT A PERMIT AND ESTABLISHING INSPECTION
REQUIREMENTS, PERMIT FEES AND BONDING RE -
REQUIREMENTS.
WHEREAS, the unregulated cutting of public streets pr curb sections
or excavation of public right-of-way is considered detr;montal to the
general welfare of the City of Georgetown; and
WHEREAS, no controls for the aforementioned activities currently
exist; Now therefore
Part 3. No concrete or asphalt shall be placed before the City
Building Inspection Department has inspected and approved the foundation
compaction, grading, form placement and other preplacement specifications.
—After placement of concretes and/or other approved paving material, a
final inspection and certificate of completion will be made by the Building
Inspection Department.

OE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Georgetown, Texas:

Part 1. No public street, public right-of-way, or curb section shall
be cut, excavated or otherviise altered without a permit issued by the
d,
Building Inspection Department of the City of Georgetown. All construction
of concrete driveways, ramps, drainage outlets and curb replacements located
within the public street easement shall be done in accordance with stan-
dard specifications of the City of Georgetown and meet the approval of the
Q
Building Official.
Part 2. Applicant for a permit shall present plans, specifications
and other data as required by the Building Official. Upon approval of the
plans and specifications, payment of a ten dollar ($10) permit fee, and a
provision of two thousand dollar ($2,000.) bond in the name of the City of
Georgetown for contractors permit or a two hundred dollar ($200.) cash bond
for homeowners permit, a street and curb cut permit shall be issued.
Part 3. No concrete or asphalt shall be placed before the City
