HomeMy WebLinkAbout0344_30982-9 309 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR SEPTEMBER 1, 1981, THROUGH AUGUST 31, 1982 FIXING EFFECTIVE DATE OF AMENDMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, there is a need for the City of Georgetown budget for the fiscal year beginning September 1, 1981, and ending August 31, 1982, finally approved by the City of Georgetown City Council on 11th day of August, 1981, and as amended by Ordinance dated May 11, 1982, to be amended so that necessary expenditures shall be within the limits of said budget and to avoid operspending such budget; and co effective as of August. 11, 1981, when said budget was heretofore finally approved; and Q WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Georgetown has advised a the City Council that there are sufficient unencumbered funds on hand to enable said City to operate within such budget without reducing already appropriated funds previously budgeted. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN AS FOLLOWS: 1. There is attached to this Ordinance an Amended Budget for the City of Georgetown for its fiscal year beginning September 1, 1981, and ended August 31, 1982, covering both the General Fund, anticipated revenues and expenditures, and also the Utility Fund, anticipated rev- enues and expenditures, and expenditures for capital improvements, and such attached Amended Budget is hereby made a part of this Ordinance for all purposes to the same extent as if copied herein verbatim. 2. The City of Georgetown Budget for the period September 1, 1981, through August 31, 1982, is hereby AMENDED as shown by the attached and annexed amended budget and such amended budget shall have the same effect as if originally adopted pursuant to Section 6 of the City of Georgetown Home Rule Charter. 3. This Amendment is Nunc Pro Tunc and shall be effective as of August 11, 1981, being the date of final approval of the City of George- town Budget for said fiscal year. n1 a WHEREAS, to comply with Section 6 of the Home Rule Charter of the M City of Georgetown such amendment shall be Nunc Pro Tunc and shall be co effective as of August. 11, 1981, when said budget was heretofore finally approved; and Q WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Georgetown has advised a the City Council that there are sufficient unencumbered funds on hand to enable said City to operate within such budget without reducing already appropriated funds previously budgeted.
