HomeMy WebLinkAbout0373_348348 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A RIGHT-OF-WAY EASEMENT FROM THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN TO C. L. CHANCE, COUNTY JUDGE OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, HIS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS IN OFFICE, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, USE AND MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC ROADS ON, OVER, AND ACROSS THREE TRACTS OF LAND CONTAINING 1.97, 6.07 AND 3.64 #CRES OF LAND IN THE DAVID WRIGHT SURVEY IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, The City of Georgetown has acquired certain rights in and to three tracts of land containing 1.97, 6.07 and 3.64 acres of land in the David Wright Survey, Abstract No. 13, Williamson County, Texas, by virtue of Right of Way and Easement Deeds of Record in the Williamson County Deed Records at Volume 866, Page 81, Volume 864, Page 337, and Volume 839, Page 512, respectively; and WHEREAS, such rights include rights of way and easements for the construction, use and maintenance of public roads on, over and across said lands for the benefit of the City of Georgetown, its successors and assigns; and WHEREAS, the County of Williamson, Texas, for and in consideration of the conveyance of said rights for the construction, use and maintenance of public roads on, over and across said lands has agreed through its duly elected representatives to construct all required fencing and to install and maintain a roadway on, over and across said rights of way; and WHEREAS, all other rights granted the City of Georgetown by virtue of said instruments would be retained by the City of Georgetown; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the City's best interest to convey the said rights relative to roads to Williamson County, Texas; and WHEREAS, a copy of the instrument of conveyance of said rights is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein for all purposes; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Georgetown that John C. Doerfler, Mayor, is hereby authorized to execute a Right -of -Way Easement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit A,
