SECTION 16. Partial Invalidity.
If any article, subdivision, paragraph, clause, phrase or sentences of
this ordinance, or the application of the same to a particular set of persons or
circumstances should, for any reason, be held invalid, such invalidity shall in no
wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance and to such end the various
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 17. This ordinance shall be held and construed to be
cumulative of all other ordinances affecting the collection and disposal of garbage,
brush and other waste materials in the City of Georgetown except in those instances
where the provisions of this ordinance are in conflict with the provisions of ord-
inances heretofore passed, and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of the ordinance are expressly repealed. This ordinance shall take
effect from and after five days after publication and in this connection, the City
Secretary is hereby directed to publish the descriptive caption of this ordinance,
W stating in summary the purpose of the ordinance and the penalty for violation thereof.
