Sea. 5.
That the Mayor and Secretary be, and they are hereby authorized
and directed without unnecessary delay, to prepare and execute said
bonds and coupons.
Sea. 6.
That when said bonds and coupons have been prepared and executed
as aforesaid, they shall be registered by the State Comptroller of the
State of Texas, as provided by law.
Sea. 7.
That there is hereby created a special sinking fund to be known
as a Refunding School Bond Fund, and to provide said sinking fund there
shall be collected annually and paid into the City Treasury of the said
city, 2 1-2$ of the principal amount of said bonds, and there shall also
be collected annually and paid into the City Treasury two semi-annual
installments of interest to accrue on said bonds as hereinafter stated.
Sec. 8.
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of the princi-
pal and interest of the Refunding Bonds hereby authorized, there shall
be and there is hereby levied a direct annual tax of Nine (9) Cents on
each One Hundred Dollars ($100) of the assessed valuation in each of
the years 1905 to 1944, both inclusive, and that provision to meet the
requirements of this Section shall in due time, manner and season, be
annually hereafter made.
Sec. 9.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
