order as followss The first body shall be buried at the South
end of this strip within six feet of said 4* sore tract, and
the next body shall be buried to the Worth of said first guave
and as close thereto as can conveniently be done, and so on
for the entire length of said strip, and then another line of
graves shall be started at the South end of said strip and on
the West of and within six feet of the first line of gravest
and no charge shall be made by the City for the land mentioned
in this section, unless the parties so buying shall desire to
buy a lot in this strip, %nd if they da desire, the Mayor is
authorized to out off and sell same for $5.00 sash.
Section 8. The balance of said 12 7/10 &ore tract of
land is hereby set aside as a burial place for the bodies of
white people who own no burial ground and desire to bury there•
Ing and the bodies buried in such part of said.tract of land
shall be buried in -regular order, commencing on the South within
12 feet of the strip mentioned in Section 7, and running a line
of graves North in the same manner as is provided in Section 7
hereof.
Section 9. No dead body shall be buried in any part of
said tract of land described in section I hereof without the
person or persons burying such body shall have first obtained
the consent of the Mayor, or in his absence of the Mayor pro
tem, for such burial, provided that this section shall not apply
to Negroes who are to be buried in the 4* acre tract before
described.
Section 10. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not exceeding Ten
Dollars.
Section 11. This ordinance shall go into effect from
and after its publication according to law.
